PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress transverse vibrations of a rod-like pressure transmitting member in a pressure sensor which is made up by inserting the pressure transmitting member into a cylindrical case having a pressure receiving diaphragm at one end and a sensing part at the other end. SOLUTION: The pressure receiving diaphragm 15 is disposed at one end of the cylindrical case 20, and the sensing part 30 for generating a signal in accordance with a pressure is disposed at the other end of the case 20, and the rod-like pressure transmitting member 16 is housed in the case 20 such that in its longitudinal direction, one end contacts with the pressure receiving diaphragm 15, and the other end contacts with the sensing part 30 through a strain part 21b. Furthermore, a vibration absorbing member 17 is disposed between the pressure transmitting member 16 and the case 20, which is made of a gel or a resin and configured to absorb vibrations in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the pressure transmitting member 16.
