PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain excessive drying, when preserving a drying object. SOLUTION: When performing preserving operation in succession to drying operation, a refrigerating device 33 and a cooling fan 35 are operated, after stopping a circulating fan 22. Thus, cold air circularly flows to a short cycle circulating passage 56 composed of bypass passage 37 and a part of an upper side ventilation passage 17A opposed to this passage, and the inside of a drying chamber 12 is indirectly cooled, while generating natural convection in the drying chamber 12 with an upper surface plate 11A as a cooling plate, by cooling the upper surface plate 11A of an inner box 11 by the cold air. During this time, the cold air flowing to the short cycle circulating passage 56 is maintained at the predetermined temperature, by controlling the refrigerating device 33 for ON and OFF based on its detecting temperature, by detecting the temperature of the bypass passage 37, in its turn, the inside of the drying chamber 12 is also maintained at the predetermined preserving temperature.
