PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be able to easily assemble a friction ring which is a component of a brake-side clutch. SOLUTION: A clutch unit comprises a lever side clutch 11 provided at the input side to control transmitting/intercepting the rotational torque to the output side by lever operation, and a brake-side clutch 12 provided at the output side to transmit an input torque from the lever-side clutch 11, and intercept the reverse input torque from the output side. The brake side clutch 12 comprises the friction ring 29 disposed between a brake-side side plate 23 and an output shaft 24 to apply a braking force to the output shaft 24. The friction ring 29 has a ring-like shape made of a resin material, and has at least two projections 29a, and is fastened to the brake-side side plate 23 by pressing the projections 29a into a hole 23c of the brake-side side plate 23.
