摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit for a variable valve mechanism, which restrains troubles happened when a position of a control shaft early exceeds a pin connecting position. SOLUTION: A hydraulic load applied on a pin is removed by making an OCV non-operate when changed from one valve variable range to a both-valves variable range (step 106). A designated timeΔT required for connection relief of the pin is calculated on the basis of water temperature Tw when the position of the control shaft is shifted to a large operation angle/large lifting amount side rather than a pin fitting position (step 110). An annealing control for the position of the control shaft (command value) is carried out between the designated timeΔT so that the position of the control shaft is not shifted to the large operation angle/large lifting amount side while the position of the control shaft exceeds the pin connecting position (step 112).
