PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reinforcing wire mesh support spacer suitable for a rhombic wire mesh 60 which supports the metal rods of a wire mesh embedded in concrete to be placed for reinforcing a composite slab or other concrete placement floors or a concrete building panel, a concrete placing base, a pavement, a road shoulder, a slope or the like and in soil dressing on farm land with a predetermind distance from the ground, a broken stone finishing earth floor, a leveling concrete earth floor, a concrete frame member, a deck plate or the like that are placed and is used for securing the covering of the concrete to be placed or the soil dressing on farm land. SOLUTION: The spacer for the rhombic wire mesh is so configured that two leg materials 11, 12 each comprising a U-shaped folded metal rod materials are faced in parallel with each other and are couple with a coupling material 13 made of a metal material and each pair of axis parts 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b of each leg material are faced with each other to constitute both the ends of each leg material by taking the U-shaped folded returning point 14 of each leg material as a boundary and that concavities 31, 32 recessed in an outward direction reverse to a direction of allowing each pair of axis parts of each leg material to face with each other are formed at each pair of axis parts 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b of each leg material and distances H from a flat surface 15 which the returning point 14 of the leg material touches to the concavities of each axis part are made to be equal, and in a position apart from the concavity of each axis part at one side of each pair of two axis parts of each leg material and the returning point, the axis parts 21a, 22a at one side of them are coupled with the coupling material 13 and each axis part 21b, 22b at the other side of them becomes each free end 41, 42.
