The optoelectronic component (100) has a semiconductor layer sequence (1) with an active area (11), which emits electromagnetic radiations (31) with a spectrum in the operation. A wavelength conversion layer (2) is provided, which is applied on a substrate and the substrate covers glass or plastic, and the conversion layer is downstream to the semiconductor layer sequence in the optical path of the electromagnetic radiations with the former spectrum. The electromagnetic radiations changes with the former spectrum partly in to electromagnetic radiations (32) with another spectrum.
