The semiconductor laser has a laser active semiconductor sequence layer (1) with a principal surface (1003). The principal surface is arranged on heat conducting layer (3) containing carbon-nanotube. The carbon nanotube is enclosed in a side and some of the carbon nanotubes are partly or completely filled with a filling material containing silver, lead and the noble gases. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing semiconductor laser.
