PORTABLE TERMINAL SYSTEM, PORTABLE TERMINAL, AND FUNCTION LOCKING METHOD

A portable terminal system for simply locking at least one of the portable terminal or a memory card by a user's intuitive operation when the memory card or a memory card with an IC function loaded in the portable terminal is detached. The portable terminal system (100) comprises a memory card (300) and a portable terminal (200) to/from which the memory card (300) is attached/detached. In the portable terminal (200), a long press detecting section (204) detects a long press of a press section (202) pressed by the user, a card plug/unplug sensing section (208) detects plug/unplug of the memory card (300) plugged/unplugged into/from a slot section (206). A locking section (218) locks/unlocks at least one of the functions of the portable terminal (200) and the memory card (300). When the memory card (300) is plugged/unplugged into/from the slot section (206) while the press section (202) is pressed for a long time, the portable terminal (200) allows the locking section (218) to lock/unlock at least one of the functions through a terminal control section (220).
