The disc break (10) has two break shoes (18,20) and an actuator (30) for attaching a break disc (12) to the break shoes. The break shoes are supported on a support (14) fixed to a vehicle with respect to a peripheral force generated during attachment of the break shoes to the break disc, and has a measuring device (32) for measuring the peripheral force. A rolling bearing arrangement is provided in another force transmitting chain between the actuator and one of the break shoes.
