The drive has a controllable pitch propeller, and a shaft journal driving a hub body (5). Lower and upper rotary disks are rotatable around an axis perpendicular to a rotation axis of a drive shaft, where the disks support propeller blades. A pressurizing medium connection actuates a connecting rod (8), a plate (9), a piston rod, a piston and a cylinder, where each disk has a nut (6.3) at outward facing surface. Each blade has a base that is retractable from an end of the nut into the nut of the assigned disk, where the nuts and bases form a dovetail-shaped connection with each other.
