A system and a method for providing a computer based virtual online casino service over an independent dedicated network within an airplane are provided to enable passengers to enjoy a gambling game with the same rule of an offline casino within a spatially limited airplane. A system for providing a computer based virtual online casino service comprises an online casino server(100), a user terminal(30), a dedicated communication network(20) and an administrator terminal. The online casino server, constructed within the airplane, stores a casino game program and boarding information of passengers for allowing the passengers to play the casino game. The user terminal stores a communication module and a middleware for driving the game program transmitted by the online casino server. The dedicated communication network is constructed within the airplane for allowing the online casino server to communicate with the user terminal. The administrator terminal instructs a start or a termination of the online casino game by making the online casino server supply or intercept power for or from the user terminal. According as a passenger requests the online casino game, a steward makes the server provide the online casino game service for the user terminal via the administrator terminal. |
