The device has deflecting magnets (12-14) containing superconducting coils (110), a cold producing unit (101) and a closed pipe line system for receiving a cooling medium i.e. helium. The closed pipe line system contains parts that run within cryostats, and has an axis-close part (17) and an axis-far part (16). The axis-close and the axis-far parts contain cooling agent areas (121, 122), respectively. The cold producing unit forms two heat sinks (123, 124). The heat sinks are assigned to the axis-close and the axis-far cooling agent areas of the line system, respectively.
