PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely adhere a masking film and a polarizing plate for liquid crystal cell affixation without the occurrence of foaming in a masking film even by an autoclave treatment by heat treating the entire part laminated with the polarizing plate for liquid crystal cell affixation and the masking film via an adhesive layer. SOLUTION: The polarizing plate 1 for liquid crystal cell affixation consists of a structure obtd. by affixing protective films 1b on both surfaces of a polarizing film 1a. The masking film 3 is laminated via an adhesive layer 2 on one surface of the polarizing plate 1 for liquid crystal cell affixation. After the polarizing plate for masking film laminated liquid crystal cell affixation is affixed to the liquid crystal cell, the entire part of the polarizing plate for masking film laminated liquid crystal cell affixation is subjected to a heat treatment before the polarizing plate is subjected to the autoclave treatment. The heat treatment is preferably executed by batch operation or continuous operation. The heat treatment conditions are preferably 40 to 60 deg.C×1 to 72 hours in the batch operation and preferably 40 to 80 deg.C×10 seconds to 10 minutes in the continuous operation. |
