The method involves pressing plastic films in a pressing gap (7) formed between two pressing members (5, 6) against each other, and subjecting the films with laser radiation (9). The laser radiation is radiated via the member (5) and the gap towards the member (6), where a part of the radiation is reflected from a reflective surface (11) of the member (6) towards the member (5). The reflective surface is formed from metal, and the members are designed as pressing rollers or pressing plates. The member (6) has an elastic layer formed from silicone under the reflective surface. An independent claim is also included for a device for welding films. |
