LIQUID CRYSTAL LENS WITH INNER ELECTRODE PATTERN AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A liquid crystal lens having an inside electrode pattern and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to remove the process for forming a space due to a protruded transparent electrode externally. A liquid crystal layer(2300) is equipped between two transparent substrates(2100,2200). A lower alignment layer(2520) and a lower transparent electrode layer(2420) are equipped between a liquid crystal layer(2300) and the lower transparent substrate. An upper alignment layer(2510) and an upper transparent electrode layer(2410) are equipped between the liquid crystal layer and the upper transparent substrate. A first inside electrode pattern(2610) is contacted with the liquid crystal layer and connected with the lower transparent electrode layer. A second inside electrode pattern(2620) is contacted with the liquid crystal layer and connected with the upper transparent electrode layer. A metal pattern is equipped on the upper surface of the upper transparent electrode substrate and functions as a stop.
