An LOC(Lab-On-a-Chip) system having a micro mixer is provided to maximize the mixing efficiency of a mixing unit by changing the mixing pattern of the mixing unit according to a cycle of voltage applied from an AC(Alternating Current) power source. In an LOC system(100) having a micro mixer, a polar fluid sample is placed on a substrate(160). A mixing unit(110) comprises: plural electrodes(130a,130b,130c,130d) formed on the substrate; a power source for forming an electric field by applying voltage to plural electrodes; and an electric field forming unit for generating an electric field across the direction of the electric field generated by plural electrodes. Fluid inflow passages(171,172) communicate with the mixing unit. A fluid discharge passage(173) discharges the fluid completely mixed in the mixing unit. A casing(140) covers the mixing unit, the inflow passage, and the discharge passage and has inflow ports(141,142) connected to the inflow passage and a discharge port(143) connected to the discharge passage.
