The semiconductor laser light (10) source unit includes a semiconductor laser light source (12) for emitting a light beam having a great radiation angle in one direction, a collimator lens (14) for substantially collimating the light beam emitted from the light source, and a concentration distribution filter (18) positioned downstream of the collimator lens (14) in a traveling direction of the light beam and having a concentration distribution such that a concentration gradually increases in the one direction from a center of an optical axis of the light beam that has passed through the collimator lens (14). The filter (18) is tilted (e) about an axis perpendicular to the optical axis and to the one direction. Alternatively, the unit further includes a first rotational adjustment mechanism (70) that rotates for adjustment the filter (18) about the axis.
