A rotary joint used for a spindle of a machine tool is provided to prevent leak of fluid by making the top portion of a casing retainer sharp contact closely with a spindle retainer, and to assemble the retainer to a casing easily and surely by allowing the casing retainer move in the axial direction without rotation. A rotary joint used for a spindle of a machine tool includes a casing(110) fixed to a housing of a machine tool, a casing retainer(120) movable in the axial direction without rotation, an O-ring(140) seated on a groove provided at inner side of the casing to seal the outer surface of the casing retainer and the inner surface of the casing, a non-rotational seal member(150) seated on the lower part of the casing retainer, a cover(160) installed at the lower part of the casing, an elastic member(170) supported one end by the casing retainer and the other end by the cover, a spindle retainer(180) assembled at the upper part of a spindle rotating at high speed, a rotational seal member(190) fixed to the upper portion of the spindle retainer to make contact with or separate from the non-rotational seal member, a tube(111) at lower portion of the casing where the casing retainer fits, a cover fixture(112) to secure the cover at an end of the tube, and a retainer guide(113) caulked to stick out in the axial direction with a certain angle to guide a groove formed on the outer surface of the casing retainer.
