PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recovery promoter for skin barrier function in perfume and to provide a method for evaluating the recovery ability of the skin barrier function. SOLUTION: This method for evaluating the effectiveness of recovery ability of the skin barrier function of a perfume to be examined comprises imposing a fixed stress on a small animal of model test in a system not applying a perfume to be tested, reducing the skin barrier function of the animal, using the data of recovery degree of the skin barrier function as an index and evaluating the difference of the data of the recovery degree of the skin barrier function between a system applying the perfume to be tested and the system not applying the perfume to be tested. This recovery promoter for skin barrier function contains the perfume as an active ingredient having the effectiveness ascertained by the method. |
