The invention consists of a method for security monitoring and a device for security monitoring where the device is logically and physically independent of the wireless network that is to be monitored. The device only receives data frames sent in the network. Received wireless data frames are analyzed and possible attacks on network security are detected. Only when an attack is detected will the device give a warning, e.g. through a cable network connection. The device does not participate in the network otherwise. |
