摘要 An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to use a thin film transistor as a light sensor, thereby preventing deterioration of a light sensor device from generating when applying voltage with the deflected polarity to a gate electrode. A light detecting member(LS1) has a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) light sensor embedded withing an LCD panel. A light sensor reading member reads the voltage due to the light leak of the TFT light sensor. A control device controls the light detecting member, light sensor reading member and controls the back light and the like by output of the light sensor reading member. In the light detecting member, a switching device(SW2) is connected between a source line connected with a source electrode of the TFT light sensor and a drain line connected with a drain electrode. To change the gate voltage of the TFT light sensor, the control device turns on the switching device so that source and drain lines of the TFT light sensor are connected with the common voltage potential.
