Provided is a polybenzoxazine compound, which has a strong acid trapping activity and improved mechanical properties, shows excellent chemical stability by having insolubility in polyphosphate, and allows manufacture of an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell having improved phosphate retainability and stability. The compound is a crosslinked polybenzoxazine compound obtained via the polymerization of a benzoxazine monomer represented by the following formula(1) with a crosslinkable compound. In formula(1), R1 is selected from the group consisting of a substituted or non-substituted C1-C20 alkylene group, C6-C20 arylene group, C2-C20 heteroarylene group, -C(=O)- and -SO2-; and R2 is a substituted or non-substituted C1-C20 alkyl group, C1-C20 alkenyl group, C1-C20 alkynyl group; C6-C20 aryl group, C7-C20 arylalkyl group, C2-C20 heteroaryl group, C2-C20 heteroarylalkyl group, C4-C20 carbocyclic group, C4-C20 carbocyclic alkyl group, C2-C20 heterocyclic group or C2-C20 heterocyclic alkyl group. |
