A broadcasting terminal and a broadcasting channel tuning method therefor are provided to display an item for tuning a broadcasting channel program on the standby screen or a broadcasting channel reproduction screen of the broadcasting terminal and tune the broadcasting channel program, thereby enabling a user to tune and watch the broadcasting channel program easily. A broadcasting receiving unit(110) receives a broadcasting channel program. A memory(130) stores an item associated with information about the broadcasting channel program. A display unit(150) displays the item. A control unit(160) tunes and reproduces the broadcasting channel program associated with the item when the display item is selected.
