COOKING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A cooking apparatus and a method of controlling the same are provided to prevent water from dropping on a machine part installed near a water tank by introducing water remaining in a connector and a water supply tube into a steam-generating device. A cooking apparatus comprises a detection part and a controller. The cooking apparatus includes a water tank(61), a steam generating device(50), and a water supply pump(64) which supplies water of the water tank into the steam generating device through a water supply tube(63). The detection part detects whether the water tank is separated from the cooking apparatus. The controller controls an operation of the water supply pump based on a determination of the detection part. If the water tank is separated from the cooking apparatus, the controller operates the water supply pump to introduce water of the water supply tube into the steam generating device.
