A delay-based sequence searching method and device, and a signal transceiving method and device using the searching method and device are provided to enable a base station to select a search target sequence set by considering delay time of a receiving signal and to search a sequence type used for a received RACH(Random Access Channel) by using the selected sequence set, thereby reducing a burden of the base station when searching sequence. A transmitter(901) transmits a downlink signal. A receiver receives a signal from a user equipment by responding to the transmitted signal of the transmitter. A sequence searcher(903) searches sequence used for the received signal of the receiver. The sequence searcher differently sets search targets of the sequence used for the received signal by considering round-trip delay times. An information interpreter(904) interprets information delivered from the user equipment through the round-trip delay times.
