A safety apparatus for a torque measurement device is provided to prevent trouble and damage to a servo motor, a torque cell or objects of torque measurement by absorbing overload to the torque cell or the objects. A torque measurement device includes a servo motor exerting rotation force and a torque cell connected with the servo motor to measure rotation force. A safety apparatus for the torque measurement device comprises rotation plates(10,20) fixed on edges of a rotation shaft(1') of the servo motor and a rotation shaft(2') of the torque cell, hook bars(11,21) projected opposite to each other on each of the rotation plates, a coil spring(30) installed on the outer surface of a pipe unit(22) projected on one of the rotation plates and both hooks(31,31') of the coil spring engaged with the hook bars.
