METHOD FOR PROVIDING AN AUTOMATIC RESPONSE SERVICE, AND TERMINAL AND SYSTEM THEREFOR

A method for providing an ARS service, and a terminal and a system therefor are provided to enable a terminal user to stop the ARS service temporarily or resume the ARS service later when the terminal user is not able to use the ARS service temporarily, thereby solving a problem that the terminal user has to connect with an ARS server and restart the ARS service. A method for providing an ARS service comprises the following steps of: allowing a terminal to connect with an ARS server(S31); allowing the ARS server to begin the ARS service for the terminal(S32); and allowing the terminal to control the progress of an automatic response procedure of the ARS server(S34~S39). The method for controlling the progress of the automatic response procedure comprises the following steps of: allowing the ARS server to stop the automatic response procedure temporarily if the ARS server receives a first command from the terminal(S34,S35); and allowing the ARS server to resume the automatic response procedure from the pause point of time if the ARS server receives a second command from the terminal(S37,S38).
