摘要 An LCD device, a manufacturing method thereof, and an electronic device are provided to suppress the generation of an alignment fault and the leakage of light, thereby improving a high aperture ratio. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a first electrode, a second electrode(9), and an alignment layer(18). The first substrate and the second substrate face each other with a light crystal layer therebetween. The first electrode is formed in a liquid crystal layer side of the first substrate. The second electrode is formed on the first electrode via an insulating layer(13). The second electrode includes plural strip electrode portions and a connection portion(9a). The plural strip electrode portions are extended to substrate surface directions and have a connection end(9e) in an end portion in an extending direction and an open end in the other end portion. The connection portion connects each connection end of the plural strip electrode portions together. A surface of the alignment layer is rubbed in a direction from the connection ends to the open ends.
