A device with tie rod bracing is provided to permit a tie rod to endure a high load by eliminating a groove in the tie rod for accommodating an O-ring. A device includes sub assemblies(18) which are connected one another through one or more tie rods(17) so as to provide compression pre-stresses to the sub assemblies. Each tie rod is equipped with a sealing unit for sealing the screw of the tie rod against a medium. The sealing unit includes one or more sealing sleeves(22) having a tubular or pipe shape.
