The device for insertion of dosing cans (15) between welding rollers (7, 13) of a seam-welding machine, comprises a plug-in module with a plug-in finger module, with which the rounded can is axially adjustable in a guide rail (9). The plug-in module comprises a linear motor, in which an anchor of the plug-in finger module is connected. The linear motor is tightly connected with a housing (3) of the welding machine. The maximum stroke of the linear motor is measured between a starting point and slide-in point.
