A color barcode using nano-rods and a detecting system thereof are provided to increase the quantity of information included in a barcode by adding a color code to the nano-rods, which irradiate light having a unique wavelength by resonating with visible light, and expand an application area of the barcode by minimizing the size of the barcode with the nano-rods. Multiple nano-rods have a size by nanometer and generate surface plasmon resonance caused by light reception. A barcode(210) includes at least two nano-rods irradiating the light of the different wavelength by the surface plasmon resonance according to each material. A light source(200) irradiates the light, and the barcode is put on a stage, and a polarizer(203) is placed between the light source and the stage. A spectroscope(240) generates an absorption spectrum of the light output after the surface plasmon resonance generated from the nano-rods receiving the light irradiated from the light source. A CCD(Charge Coupled Device)(230) captures a barcode image, and a color filter(220) is placed between the stage and the CCD. |
