An image edition method and a photographing apparatus using the method are provided to edit image files of different formats to create a moving image file of high resolution, even without an additive editing device. Edition information is received(S310). Different image file formats are edited based on the edition information, thereby creating one image file(S330). The edition information includes arrangement of images, order of images, reproducing lengths of images, special effects of images, and positions of images where the special effects are applied. The image file is created by using files selected from still image files, moving image files, and music files.
