A mobile communication terminal and a key configuration method of the mobile communication terminal are provided to integrate keys so that necessary keys only can be equally operated on a particular menu, thereby increasing a recognition rate of a touch pad as minimizing an incorrect operation. A key input unit(200) displays an indicator. When a particular menu is executed through the key input unit, a controller(230) integrates at least one of keys to control so that the integrated keys perform the same function, and unifies indicators of the integrated keys. The key input unit is a touch pad. The key input unit is made of a transmissive plastic material. If a sensing event occurs in at least one integrated indicator, the controller controls so that the same operation is processed.
