摘要 A method for driving an AC PDP is provided to increase a dark room contrast ratio by removing a part of background luminance generated from weak discharge. An AC(Alternating Current) PDP(Plasma Display Panel), which includes scan, address, and sustain electrodes, is driven during reset, address, and sustain periods. During the reset period in a first subfield(First subfield), a ramp type reset pulse having rising and falling intervals(20,30) is supplied to the scan electrodes, a reset pulse having a rising interval is supplied to the sustain electrodes, and a constant voltage is supplied to the sustain electrodes during the falling interval. During a reset period from a first subfield(Second subfield), a ramp type reset pulse having a rising interval(220) is supplied to the scan electrodes, and a reset pulse having a rising interval is supplied to the sustain electrodes during the rising interval from the first subfield.
