摘要 Decrease of lifetime due to operation in increased impurity concentration at the anode is suppressed by estimating the nitrogen concentration more accurately in a fuel cell stack. A fuel cell system comprises a temperature detecting means (11) for detecting the temperature of a fuel cell stack (20), a fuel pole pressure detecting means (P5) for detecting the pressure of a fuel pole, and a neglect time measuring means (12) for measuring the neglect time. The nitrogen concentration at the fuel pole of a fuel cell (such as the concentration of nitrogen reached the fuel pole from an oxygen pole through an electrolytic membrane) is estimated based on the temperature of the fuel cell stack (20) when operation is stopped, the pressure of the fuel pole when the fuel cell is restarted, and the neglect time from stopping to restarting of the fuel cell. ® KIPO & WIPO 2008
