A safety device of an air conditioning system of a vehicle is provided to prevent an explosion due to impact of the vehicle by rapidly discharging refrigerant of the system when impact is applied to the vehicle. A safety device of an air conditioning system of a vehicle comprises a compressor(10), an outdoor heat exchanger(14), an indoor heat exchanger(15), expansion valves(18,19), an impact detecting member(30), a controller(40) and a discharge valve(50). The impact detecting member detects whether impact is applied to the air conditioning system. When impact signal is inputted from the impact detecting member, the controller compares inputted impact force with a pre-set impact force. If the inputted impact force exceeds the pre-set impact force, the controller outputs a control signal. The discharging valve discharges refrigerant to the outside according to the control signal.
