#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves acquiring images (1001) that represent a reference space e.g. pleasure port, by using a shooting device e.g. camera. A simplified image comprising a color representing the space and a color representing a vehicle e.g. boat, is associated to each acquired image. The colors in sections of the space are analyzed, and vehicle presence or absence information is delivered for each section of the space, where each section corresponds to a vehicle location. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for determination of presence of a vehicle in a reference space (2) a computer program product comprising program code instructions for execution of a method for determining presence of a vehicle. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for determining the presence of a vehicle such as craft e.g. boat, and passenger car, in a reference space e.g. pleasure port and parking station, for port survey. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method allows determining the presence of the vehicle based on the acquisition of the images of the reference space, in a simple, rapid and reliable manner, while permitting several daily surveys in a better manner. The method performs port survey in an inexpensive manner without dependency on number of available locations in the port, and even for small ports having less number of locations.
