<p>An injection device A syringe 100 comprising; an elongate outer housing 102 having an aperture 95 at an injecting end through which a needle 108 may selectively project permitting penetration of a subject; an assembly 98 in sliding engagement within the outer housing 102; said assembly 98 comprising a barrel 116, a container 106 for containing an injectable medicament 110, the needle 108 being mounted to the container 106, a plunger 104 sealing an open portion of the container and in sliding engagement within the barrel, such that on biasing the plunger, using a first biasing means 112, in a direction directed towards the injecting end, the medicament is released from the container, through the needle, to the subject; wherein said syringe further includes a first engagement means 122; said first engagement means 122 adapted to permit relative movement of the plunger 104 and the container 106 when the assembly 98 is at a first position 126 within the outer housing 102, said engagement means 122 preventing relative sliding engagement at all other locations.</p> |
