摘要 A heat exchanger for an automobile is provided to improve performance in distributing coolant and radiating heat by attaching a plurality of header pipes with end caps and input and output end caps and having a plurality of communicating units having diameters which get smaller gradually. A heat exchanger for an automobile comprises a plurality of tubes(40), an upper header pipe unit(10), and a lower header pipe unit(13). The upper header pipe unit includes first and second header pipes(11,12), an inlet and outlet end cap(20), and an end cap(30). Heating medium(50) flows into the first header pipe unit and flows out of the second header pipe unit. The inlet and outlet end cap is formed at one side of the first and second header pipe units and provided with an inlet(21) and an outlet(22) for the heating medium. The end cap is formed at the other end of the first and second header pipes to attach the first header pipe to the second header pipe mutually. The lower header pipe unit includes third and fourth header pipes, a plurality of communicating units(60), and a pair of end caps. The third header pipe receives the heating medium from the first header pipe. The fourth header pipe feeds the heating medium to the second header pipe. The communicating units are formed on each joint part of the third and fourth header pipes, with having the same numbers and the same shape. The diameters of the communicating units get smaller gradually in the same direction as a flow direction of the heat exchanging unit in the first header pipe. The end caps are attached to two ends of the third and fourth header pipes to joint both header pipes to each other.
