A vaccine composition including an immunogenic hybrid polypeptide is provided to be applicable to animals such as dog, cow, and cat as well as human and induce a uniform antibody reaction between individuals, thereby being effective for preventing and treating obesity of the human and animals. An immunogenic polypeptide is characterized in that it is fused with: (a) a monomer or a polymer of a peptide having an amino acid sequence selected from SEQ ID : NOs. 1, 2 and 3; (b) a rabies virus helper T cell epitope or a hepatitis B virus surface antigen helper T cell epitope linked to a C-terminal of the monomer or polymer of the peptide; and (c) a C-terminal peptide fragment of a mouse apolipoprotein CII or the monomer or the polymer having the amino acid sequence selected from the SEQ ID : NOs. 1, 2 and 3 linked to a C-terminal of the helper T cell epitope. A vaccine for preventing or treating obesity comprises the immunogenic hybrid polypeptide. A method for preparing the immunogenic hybrid polypeptide comprises a step of culturing a host cell transformed by a recombinant expression vector including a polynucleotide coding the polypeptide.
