A built structure comprises an upward facing surface which supports an image. The upward facing surface is overlaid by the image in the form of advertising indicia. The image is arranged for visibility from overflying craft and is applied indirectly to the upward surface as a separate layer. The image is applied as a film and is formed from an array of coloured panels, segments, dots or pixels applied by an applicator provided with digital control means.
