<p>An air conditioner is provided to realize a neat appearance of a front surface of the air conditioner by displaying display information from a rear side of a semi-transparent part through a backlight scheme such that only the display information is visible at a front side of the air conditioner. An air conditioner comprises a body having a semi-transparent part at a front surface thereof, a display(100) and a controller. The display is disposed at a rear side of the semi-transparent part. The controller controls the display in an operation of the body, and turns off the display in an operation-off state of the body. The body includes a cabinet having an air suction port, air discharging ports, and a front panel(60). The front panel is disposed at a front side of the cabinet to form an external appearance of the body and has the semi-transparent part at a front side of the front panel.</p> |
