A method of producing a water resistant fibre-cement product is disclosed, wherein the method includes combining a water repelling agent with a fibre-cement material; forming a fibre-cement product from the combination, whereby the water repelling agent is integrally associated with the fibre-cement, and wherein the water repelling agent is a long chain terpolymer derived from ethylene, vinyl chloride, and vinyl laurate.
