A composition comprising a protease derived from Aranicola proteolyticus is provided to be applied to various industries such as a pharmaceutical composition, a cosmetic, a leather finishing agent, a chemical agent for study, a solubilizer or a softener of food, a meat modifier, a feed or food additive, and an oil/fat separating agent. A pharmaceutical composition used as a digestive enzymatic agent or a thrombolytic agent comprises a protease consisting of an amino acid sequence described as SEQ ID : NO. 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. A food solubilizer, a food softening agent, a meat modifier, a animal feed additive, a food additive, or an oil/fat separator comprises the protease as an effective ingredient.
