#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves receiving and interpreting instructions of a sharing control of files (4) from a multimedia terminal (10) using a module (21) of a connection apparatus (2). Content, corresponding to files, from the file sharing control is stored in the apparatus using a mass storage unit (20) of the apparatus, where the storage unit includes a non volatile memory. The stored contents are shared via a network (N) using a server (S) present in a module (22) of the apparatus. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an apparatus for connecting a personal multimedia terminal to an Internet (2) a system for sharing files stored in a personal multimedia terminal. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for sharing files e.g. audio file, text file, video file, image file, stored in a personal multimedia terminal e.g. personal computer, portable telephone, personal digital assistant or home theater equipment, for permitting access to content of the files via a network e.g. Internet. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method permits the sharing of the files via the network in a simple, rapid, transparent and inexpensive manner, and ensures the availability of the shared file when the user requires, thus avoiding the user to approach to a paying service.
