Road curve`s characteristics detection method for e.g. sidemarker lamp, in motor vehicle, involves establishing final set of information relative to curve from information established by navigation system and image processing system

The method involves establishing a set of information relative to a considered road curve (201) by a navigation system interfering a global positioning system (GPS) aerial (112) and cartographic data. Another set of information relative to the curve is established by an image processing system interfering a camera (121) and image processing applications. A final set of information relative to the curve is established from the two sets of information. An independent claim is also included for a system for anticipated detection of a curve on a road portion.
