PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform display which is easy for a user to understand and to operate when images are classified by using specified attribute information and displayed. SOLUTION: A plurality of images are classified into groups based on a specified classification criterion, and states of classifications are displayed in units of the groups. At this time, display for showing the kinds of the groups is performed in a mode corresponding to the kind of the classification criterion and the numbers of images classified into the respective groups.
