PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for color processing, disposing sampling points densely around gray, to which a human being's vision is very sensitive, improving color reproduction in precision, disposing sampling points sparsely for colors of high saturation, and changing colors smoothly by calculation through a nonlinear function so as to improve tone gradation. SOLUTION: The color processing apparatus is equipped with, at least, a means of receiving hues as an input and calculating the hues at least. In the calculation of the hues, a value to be added to the inputted hues is calculated through interpolation and that the calculated value is added to the inputted hues. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
