PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unnecessary part from adhering to the mother resin film of a support ring, when cutting the unnecessary part projecting from the mother resin film adhered to the support ring. SOLUTION: When the support ring 2a with a diaphragm stretched tightly and an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of a diaphragm ring incorporated into an acoustic electric converter is adhered to one surface of a mother resin film 3m as a diaphragm material, and then an unnecessary part 3me of the mother resin film projecting from an outer diameter edge 2b of the support ring 2a is cut using a prescribed cutting tool, the support ring 2a is placed on a tool stand 30 on the mother resin film 3m, an air current from the side of the outer diameter edge 2b of the support ring 2a to the lower portion of the tool stand 30 is generated around the tool stand 30, and the unnecessary part 3me of the mother resin film 3m projecting from the outer diameter end 2b of the support ring 2a is cut using a prescribed cutting tool (preferably rotary brush).
