PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To independently generate/display three-dimensional image data of a plurality of internal organs. SOLUTION: A threshold setting part 81 sets a first threshold and a second threshold to the volume data of a subject including image information of a first internal organ and a second internal organ having nearly equal pixel values. A connected area extraction part 4 extracts two first connected areas in each of a first pixel group selected on the basis of the thresholds. Next, a common/difference area detection part 6 detects a common area and a difference area on the basis of the difference between the two first connected areas, and a common/difference area composition part 7 combines the common area with the difference area on the basis of a command signal from a composition command part 83 to form a second connected area. Then, a three-dimensional image data generation part 3 generates/displays the three-dimensional image data of the first internal organ using a second pixel group in the second connected area of the volume data, and moreover generates/displays the three-dimensional image data of the second internal organ using a first pixel group where the second pixel group is deleted.
